C3S: Creative Commons Verwertungsgesellschaft – in Gründung.

Free Music Archive Hosts all2gethernow Compilation of Creative Commons Music
I told you, we soon would change the main host for the files – due to GEMA (Germany’s collecting society). Hosting the files myself would make my blog a shop – even if the download’s for free. Germany’s Collection Society GEMA Having a Rollercoaster Ride?
I think it’s worthwhile mentioning again that there are at least two significant differences etween GEMA and US collection societies: GEMA is the only collection society in Germany. Its factual monopoly is acknowledged. Members of GEMA strictly are not allowed to license some works with GEMA while others are licensed under Creative Commons for instance. All works you are creating during your membership solely are managed by GEMA.

Mike Masnick: Business Fixed Extended Mix – Reznor v2.0
Earlier in March, I mentioned Michael Masnick was about to hold a keynote presentation at Leadership Music Digital Summit 2009 in Nashville. He announced to update the case study on Trent Reznor (= Nine Inch Nails) he presented at Midem, which was simply brilliant. So the expectation of extending a presentation of this quality requires full attention.
